Abstract

This research is motivated by the low science learning outcomes of
elementary school students in various regions of Indonesia. The problem faced is
because students have not been fully involved in the learning process. Most of the
time the implementation of the learning process takes place only centered on the
teacher so there is no interaction between students and teachers. During the
learning process the attitude of curiosity, respect for data or facts, an open-minded
attitude and an attitude of cooperation and persistence of students is still very low.
the learning outcomes are that in order to make learning science better, the teacher
can present innovative and fun learning activities, including by applying the SETS
approach through environment-based group work. The SETS approach basically
provides an understanding of the relationship between science, environment,
technology, and society and is a vehicle for training students' sensitivity to
environmental impacts as a result of developments in science and technology.
Through the research method used, namely Systematic Literature Review
(SLR) with the Google Schoolar database based on the year of publication 2014 -
2022, 11 journals were obtained that matched the inclusion criteria, namely
indexed by the Google Schoolar database, journals published in 2014-2022. The
last 8 years, with keywords namely Science Learning Outcomes, Science Model
Environment Technology Social, Elementary School Students. The main objective
of this study is to provide an overview of the steps in applying the SETS (Science
Environment Technology Social) method in improving science learning outcomes
for elementary school students starting from the planning, implementation and
evaluation stages.
Based on the eleven journal articles that became references in this study,
they were analyzed based on aspects: the research method used, based on the
journal area, the year the research was published, the application of the Science
Environment Technology Social learning model to science learning outcomes in
elementary school students. In conclusion Science Environment Technology
Social is a learning scenario. The recommendation for the Science Environment
Technology Social model is to use the application of quizizz learning media
which aims to simplify the making of assignments in a paperless way.
