Abstract

Vibration in machinery can be a nuisance or reduce the performance of the engine itself. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the tool with the aim of obtaining a vibration test tool that meets the standards for lab work. To find out the comparison of the theoretical and experimental undamped free vibration response. To find out the difference in the value or parameter of undamped free vibration theoretically and experimentally. This research method is carried out by comparing the measurement results with the theory. From the practicum results, it can be seen that a lot of the frequency, period and spring constant values of the test are not in accordance with the results of theoretical calculations, the numerical error is too far so that it can be tolerated, but the theoretical test value is very far which can be seen from the theoretical table and experimental results contained in the paper. oscillation. One example for experimental personal frequency results is 0.241Hz while for theoretical personal frequency results the results obtained if the mass is 0.25kg and the spring constant is 22.27N/m i.e. 1.5Hz, this error is very far but the calculation results are correct. . In addition to the error on the personal frequency, the spring error can also be seen in the test using the spring constant (k) from the calculation that does not match the actual value of the spring constant, the actual value of the spring constant is 22.27N/m.
