Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the prevention cost, appraisal cost, internal
failure cost, and external failure cost to the product defect level. The population in this research
is PT. Indokom Citra Persada and the sample is cost of quality report from the company. This
research used interview, observation, and documentation for the data collection methods. Data
anlysis methods for this research is classical assumption and multiple liniear regression. The
results showed that prevention cost, appraisal cost, and external failure cost had influenced the
product defect level and internal failure cost had no effect for the product defect level
