Abstract

Instagram has become a widely used medium for obtaining information, including sexual education. However, sexual education content on social media often does not align with Islamic values. The Instagram account @taulebih.id is present as an educational medium that delivers information on sexuality and reproductive health based on Islamic teachings. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Instagram account @taulebih.id in fulfilling the need for Islamic sexual education information among its followers. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method and the Uses and Gratifications theory. The research sample consists of 100 respondents who are followers of the @taulebih.id account. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. The correlation test results showed a moderately strong and significant relationship between the effectiveness of the account and the fulfillment of information needs (r = 0.636; sig. = 0.000). Furthermore, the effectiveness of the account contributed 40.4% to the fulfillment of information needs. Therefore, the more effective the @taulebih.id account is, the higher the level of information needs fulfillment among its followers
