Islamic Re�ligious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Indonesia Bekasi. 2026 M.This study was motivated by the fact that some students still lack self-confidence in participating in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning activities, as reflected in their hesitation, low participation, and lack of cour�age to express their opinions. This study aimed to determine the level of stu�dents' self-confidence, describe their learning mentality in Islamic Religious Education, and analyze the relationship between self-confidence and learning mentality among eighth-grade students of Widya Nusantara Junior High School Bekasi. This research employed a quantitative approach using a cor�relational method. Data were collected through self-confidence and learning mentality questionnaires that had been proven valid and reliable. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, Pearson Product-Mo�ment correlation analysis, coefficient of determination analysis, and signifi�cance testing.The results showed a positive and significant relationship between students' self-confidence and their learning mentality in Islamic Religious Ed�ucation. This finding was indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.791, which falls into the strong category. The significance test revealed that the calculated t-value of 15.19 was higher than the t-table value of 1.655 at the 0.05 significance level, leading to the rejection of H₀ and acceptance of H₁. The coefficient of determination was 62.57%, indicating that self-confidence contributed 62.57% to students' learning mentality, while the remaining 37.43% was influenced by other factors.
