Abstract

Raw material inventory control is a crucial factor in maintaining production line continuity and operational cost efficiency for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to analyze the actual soybean inventory system at UD. Tahu Sukarasa and propose a comparative model using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock (SS), and Reorder Point (ROP) methods.
A quantitative descriptive research method was employed, utilizing IBM SPSS Statistics 26 software to analyze actual daily usage data over a one-month period. The results indicate that the company's current conventional system is suboptimal; purchases are made at a fixed quantity of 1,500 kg with a frequency of 36 orders per year, resulting in an accumulated Total Inventory Cost (TIC) of IDR 2,040,000 per year. Modeling via the EOQ method yielded an optimal purchase quantity of 4,108 kg per transaction, reducing the order frequency to 13 times per year. SPSS analysis revealed a daily standard deviation of 13.65 kg; however, given the instantaneous lead time (0 days), the theoretical Safety Stock value is 0 kg. In practical terms, a Reorder Point is recommended when the remaining warehouse stock reaches a critical threshold of 125 kg.
Implementation of the EOQ method proved capable of minimizing the TIC to IDR 1,314,534 per year, resulting in a net financial saving of IDR 725,466 per year and achieving a cost efficiency rate of 35.56%.
