This study was motivated by the importance of students’ social attitudes in social life and the role of religious behavior in shaping students’ character. Positive social attitudes are essential for students to build harmonious relationships, demonstrate responsibility, show concern for others, cooperate effectively, and respect others. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the level of students’ religious behavior, the level of students’ social attitudes, and the relationship between religious behavior and social attitudes among eleventh-grade students at SMA Widya Nusantara Bekasi.
This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade students at SMA Widya Nusantara Bekasi, with a sample of 127 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 through normality tests, homogeneity tests, Pearson Product-Moment correlation tests, significance tests, and coefficient of determination tests.
The results showed that both students’ religious behavior and social attitudes were categorized as good. The correlation test revealed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.342 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a positive and significant relationship between religious behavior and social attitudes. The significance test showed a t-value of 4.068, which was higher than the t-table value of 1.979, confirming that the research hypothesis was accepted. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.117, indicating that religious behavior contributed 11.7% to students’ social attitudes. Therefore, the better the students’ religious behavior, the better their social attitudes tend to be.
