Abstract

There are many types of traditional sports that contain values and character education,
one of which is the traditional sport of jemparingan. This is closely related to the
implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes the Profile of Pancasila
Students as the foundation for shaping students’ character. Therefore, the purpose of this
community service program is to explore the benefits of the traditional sport of
jemparingan. In addition, the implementation of jemparingan aims to achieve two
dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, namely global diversity and independence.
The main target participants of this program are fifth-grade students of SDN Muktiwari 02,
as well as teachers and educators at the school. The program was carried out over a period
of four months, starting from partner location surveys, data collection, socialization,
implementation, and the handover of a guidebook. Furthermore, the sustainability
potential of this program lies in the partner school’s plan to design jemparingan traditional
sport activities as a supporting activity for the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila
Student Profile (P5), particularly in the values of global diversity and independence. These
activities will be conducted by teachers at the school who have participated in the training
organized by the PKM Team and will refer to the guidebook that has been developed.
